The Powell River & Region Transition House Society is a non-profit society that operates Grace House and various other programs separate from Grace House and also operates programs under the Community Services Association.  (Programs and services are listed under the link, "Programs")  Its purpose is to provide a safe haven from violence for all women and their children, and to educate the community about issues of violence and abuse in relationships.

Some of our services are:

• Counselling and resource information for women who have experienced a violent situation
   
• Telephone information and support for women who are not ready to leave their home situation
   
• Coordinated referrals with other community supports
   
• Assistance in identifying women's issues, options and safety plans

The women who work at Transition House Society are caring individuals who are trained in domestic violence issues.  We offer non-judgmental support based on the principles of:
